Satya Behara is the Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment at PrepMD, a reputable cardiac medical device specialist training company based out of Braintree, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining PrepMD, Satya managed different business segments within the global marketing organization at Smith & Nephew, a UK-based orthopedic medical device company. He also worked in marketing and business analysis roles at Fortune 500 companies such as Medtronic and IBM. Throughout his career, Satya worked with cross-functional teams across the world and hence offers an invaluable international perspective.
Satya has an MBA focused in entrepreneurship from Babson College and Bachelors in Biotechnology Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has more than 12 years of experience in medical device education, healthcare, and technology industries.
Tom Bell is the co-founder and CEO of Vertex Labs, a research and consulting company, which specializes in Artificial Intelligence.
Tom is a graduate of Drexel University and has been an active member of the Philadelphia technology start-up community since 2007.
He has founded, funded, and consulted for several start-ups over the past 11 years. Tom is passionate about education and believes that creating opportunities for youth is the key to economic growth and success. This passion lead to his involvement with Dream 2 Career due to the shared vision of the future.
Dr. Kathleen (Kathy) Houlihan is the CEO & Founder of Dream2Career, LLC which is a social enterprise that works with schools, businesses, and workforce groups to connect, promote, and build synergistic relationships between workforce and education. She is the creator of the Horizontal Industry Framework, which is used on Dream2Career’s free digital platforms Edu-Advisor: The Ultimate Training Companion and Tiolita: Social Media for Jobs, Education, and Growth Opportunities.
Prior to starting Dream2Career, Kathy was a full-time marketing professor, a student advocate, and an enrollment director for three universities. She has served on various academic, financial, and policy boards in higher-ed and for over 20 years, her mission has been to help students find and prepare for dream careers.
Kathy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and an M.B.A. from Wilkes University and a Ph.D. in management information systems from Capella University. Her work-learn research is published in numerous scholarly journals and she has presented her findings and the HIF framework to academic and business communities across the nation.
Lauren Pluskey McLain
Lauren Pluskey McLain is a Fundraising Professional with over 12 years of professional fundraising experience. Lauren started her career at Wilkes University as their Director of Annual Giving for 10 years raising over $22M for their annual fund, which helped students receive much-needed scholarships, student and faculty research and much more.
Currently, Lauren is the Director of Development at the F.M. Kirby Center for Performing Arts where she is in charge of raising money for Arts Education programs, Community Outreach and Capital Projects at the Kirby Center. In addition to her work at the Kirby Center she is also the President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Northeast, PA. An organization which serves non-profit leaders in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Lauren earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree and Masters of Business Administration from Wilkes University. She resides Plains, Pennsylvania with her husband Scott.
Gary M. Smedley, Pharm.D., is the President of the Carbondale Area School District Board of Education, as well as a licensed pharmacist in Carbondale, Pa. Gary is a graduate of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and is the Vice President of the Lackawanna County Pharmacy Association.
Gary is a strong proponent of public education and is very involved in the Pennsylvania School Board Association, recently serving as the Region 7 Director. Gary has served on the Carbondale Area School Board for over 10 years and has spent many of those years advocating for reforms to strengthen PA public schools.
Gary is also very active in his community, participating in numerous fundraisers and belonging to several community organizations and civic boards.
